NBT retrofit with CIC Screen - sometimes black screen - thstorm - 16-08-2019
Hi,
i retrofitted an NBT EVO ID6 with voltage converter and CIC Screen in my F11.
Now i have sometimes (about once a week) the problem that my screen is black.
Sometimes the screen shows the bootlogo and goes black after or is instantly black.
I have to reset (push volume-button 30sec) the NBT to get my screen working again.
any ideas how to solve this?

Buy a native APIX2 screen. Its a common issue with voltage converter. Also, do NOT update your NBT EVO to newest i-level, since then it will not work at all.

What is the technical background for this behaviour?
I can't explain why sometimes the bootlogo is shown and after that the screen goes black...

What HW version is your radio?
If it is HW 2.x and you have I step 03.2018 loaded to that rafio then this is normal. You would need to downgrade the software. Plenty of posts about it

I have to look, it is build in the car.
But when the software is too new, than the APIX1 CID would not work !at all! or am i wrong?
I think i have 07.2018 loaded.

Evo not work well with CIC screen.

Ah....sorry i ment i have an NBT screen
NBT is coded to APIX1.
I will contact the seller of my voltage converter cable an see what he says about this
