HELP, Blacklisted Mercedes NTG5 comand unit - tlferrari - 16-08-2019
Hi All.
I hope someone can help with a huge headache
I bought a used NTG5 comand unit from Ebay UK. Had it shipped to UK and my son bought the unit to me in the USA when he visited. The seller said unit was located in Belgium but it shipped from Romania which I found strange. I paid $1000 for this unit so it was not too cheap
So I went to get the PIN to unlock and was told the unit was blacklisted.
Heres where I messed up. I opened a paypal dispute with the seller, sent him information stating the unit was blacklisted and he seemed very helpful. We had some back and forth emails then he told me to send the unit back to him which I did via courier from the USA. After mailing the unit, I checked with paypal that I would be covered for my refund should anything go wrong and they said that as I did not escalate the dispute to a claim within so many day they automatically closed the claim and could be of no further help. I had no idea I had to escalate the dispute.
Then they seller started being vague about if he could solve it. He said he would not know until the unit got to him. Then I thought, hold on, if he gets the unit back and dispute is closed I am out of pocket $1000 and also have no goods to show for it. After some back and forth with the seller, I got the courier to turn the package around and return it to me.
So at this point I have a blacklisted unit that cost me $1000, seller no longer responding and paypal telling me to go whistle.
PLEASE can someone help me solve this, I'm told that some have the ability to supply these PINS. I'm happy to pay in advance for PIN if someone can supply it.
