Citroen Berlingo 2005 Front Wiper problem - emifive - 28-08-2019
Hi I have a Citroen Berlingo 2005 Front Wiper problem, When I switch on the front wipers on to first speed they will only go over and back 4 or 5 times then stop in the middle of the windscreen. When I switch on the front wipers on to second speed they will do the same only go over and back 4 or 5 times then stop in the middle of the windscreen. After they stop in the middle of the windscreen the only way to fet them to move is to change to a different speed and then the same thing happens as before. If I then switch the wipers off and switch off the ignition and remove the key sometimes they will stay going but will not going until I insert the key and switch on the ignition and switch the wipers on to first or second speed then switch them off and then they may stop. This van doesn't have automatic wipers. Can anyone help me?

I have a C8 with automatic wipers, and sometime back my wipers behaved randomly weirdly (together with few other things), it took me few days to find out that it was due to dampness and corrosion in the fuse box.
Cleaned the fuse box board with switch cleaner (WD-40 may also do), then resetting the BSI fixed it.
While the behavior pattern of your wiper as if they were switched on after powering the car off. Checking connectors and re-seating fuses and relays may also be useful, but try resetting the BSI as well.
