software update G30 Anti-theft mode active - mateos - 05-09-2019
Hello,
I did an software update on a G30 yesterday. So far it all worked out except for the navigation system.
HU-H it did not update. When I read the error memory I get the following error message:
B7F87A HU-H: Anti-theft mode active
Navi doesn't turn on either. Only a message that it is loading is displayed.
But nothing happens.
Has anyone had this before?

Your fsc’s are cancelled. U can try ista to fix the anti theft but idk if that’ll work. Other wise your gonna need to patch the head unit and add new Fsc codes. What I level is it?

I guess that HU is retrofitted (from different car) to this car.

This can come from many things. If you did not flash the headunit you should not lose the patch and stuff like that if the headunit was retrofitted or fitted from another car.
But after a certain i level you need the FSC 170 for component protection which locks the HU with the BDC. So after fitting new BDC or updating the old BDC, you need this to make navi work.
You can try the intialise component protection service function but i doubt it will work.
DavyG on this forum can help you with an activation code for fixing this, otherwise you need to run online ista for them to generate the 170 in BMW Backend.

it was patched with usb, now you need unlock and feature to bring it back to life
