Trailblazer amtel 248 - mann - 30-07-2014
First time ever doing this. on an 'o3 trailblazer i'm using digiprog3 4.88 and 04/2 plug. the only 8 chip is an amtel248 and when i try s95p02 i get all FF FF FF FF FF when reading. i've been trying for two days. thanks

I don;t know what amtel248 is, but you need to find chip 95020 on the circuitboard. (check both sides)
then startup digiprog, open eeprom menu.
select set type in eeprom menu,
choose 95 -> 95020
then read.
if it doesnt work, there can be a few possibilities.
-you said you used cable 04. I think you need cable 01 (cable 01 has smaller clip then cable 04).
-clip is clicked with wrong side on chip
-clip is bad quality. I think this is problem. if you have a blue clip chance is very big It won't work whatever you try.

I've had 8 different gm clusters and NONE of them have had a 95xxx 93xxx 35xxx or 24xxx chip in them. The one i'm looking at now have a 25040. I see NO 25040 options in the digiprog3 menu. Does to cross to a 95040. This is very frustrating. I'd appreciate any info.

desolder chip or make bridge on quartz and read correct ... attach dump file ... i will calculate for you (correct chip you have on photo)

Thank You, The new cable worked great the first time. The 25040 chip crossed to a 95xxx and it read/save eeprom great and did correct the miles too.

Heres the deal im a trailblazer expert
you have one of a couple problems
the atmel chip you speak of is the correct chip it stores the mileage
depending on the year the chip will be in the middle right or down by the displays I believe
on the trailblazer you don't need to use that eeprom part of digi
just goto cars chevy try trailblazer first if that doesn't read its a newer trailblazer and you need to use avalanche
now when you read if you get the wrong mileage you digi is not reading x out of it if it doesn't read right
meter your clip and make sure you have connection at plug end and at digi plug end on each pin
if your clip meters good you do not have it connected properly
when you get it the right direction it will read proper mileage then enter your new mileage and away you go no need to unsolder I do 03 tb all the time I only charge 50 bux cause there so easy

Doing a few for 50.00 makes them feel warm inside and I don't mind taking a hit to bring in a large account the other types of vehicles make up for the small loss on older gm trucks
