ICOM Firmware (NEXT & A2) always current! - Vojno - 13-01-2022
As it may be important to many, I will try to make up for it:

Do we know if BMW have released a new firmware for the icom next for version 4.33.3x as there was stated in release notes for 4.33.2x that you should not use Icom Next ?

As I remember it for the ICOM NEXT there was an FW_03-15-07 which was made solely for the purpose of the motorcycle.
But the last wersion as the NEXT-FW_ 03-15-08 I have no such information about it.

No but in the release notes to ista 4.33.2x it says do not use icom next 3-15-08 as it breaks the communications to mdules while programming

Release notes say IT COULD HAPPEN. For me it never happened yet. Not on G3xs, not on F1xs.

These same versions of firmware are now on AOS. But there no notes about potential failures. That means they should be extremely rare. Else they don't normally put them on AOS.

I programmed the i8 last week with ICOM Next no problem at all.
Here is the release note stated.
Known faults F, G, I, U series
* NEW * Programming aborts with ICOM Next
Problem description:
During programming, various ECUs repeatedly break down programming. Affected series:
ICOM Next with firmware{3-15-08}.
Measure/workaround:
Using an ICOM A with firmware{3-15-09}.
Errors fixed until:
Currently open.
