Help with whats needed for coding my upcoming Audi 2022 - LdkE - 19-02-2022

Hi all,

coming from the BMW coding side of life I need your help in getting me started in the Audi coding since my A6 Avant 55 TFSIe is on its way an hopefully will get delivered September 2022.

That said I want to use the time to set up my Audi coding equipment and need to know which interface and which software I should use best to be prepared when the A6 arrives.

Read already through some posts but was not able to differentiate between ODIS and VCDS (what ups/down do they have etc.).
Same rules for the interfaces - read about VAS 6154A or Passthrough and some watch outs regarding the chips used in the different interfaces.

Appreciate your advise to educate me what I need to get coding done on the new arrival and which software versions/hardware will not work for this brand new car.

Thanks

Lars

Hi guys,

got ODIS Service 8.2.0, Odis Engineering 14, VAG Flashdaten (Full + Diff) already downloaded.
Something else I need to start (beside the interface biggrin)?

original vcds is essential

Where can I get that?

rosstech website you get the original and for these days my advice go for that and not the chinese clone (ross-tech.com) also by the time you get your car ODIS S and E will change so i would not bother with them yet, except if you have a passthru device and wanna play a little on some vag cars.

Thanks for your advice!
For the moment I have to get my brain around the Audi I get  - so if I purchase the interface from rosstech I wil be up to date and able to program my own car (first)?
Is this one the one interface to get?
And the VCDS 21.9.0 + Loader SW?

Clones are no use for your car, you must go to( rosstech ) website for original interface and software

I would go with the latest ODIS and VAS6154A.If you want to do just coding on your car you can go with VCDS.If you want to do programming the best choice is ODIS.I think that the latest ODIS(that you can download on this forum)is more up to date than the latest official VCDS software from their official site.thinking

u can use OBDeleven is a good choice for coding also ODIS to do

and their is a tool might be interesting to look for

vctool its also a VAG coding tool

vcds is not a good option for these cars .

One of the best options is VCtool, have a lots of options for coding VAGs cars. You need a passthru device or vas5054.
