"allow OTA map updates"
You cant.
Local update with USB yes, OTA update ... go to dealer so they mark it on the system as valid till next year.

You can't do local updates as the FEC code blocks it if you go above your authorized year that you've paid for
Unless I'm mistaken?
However if this THE Congo from the A5OC forum, you'll know more than me!

What i say is - no one here cant do it in way that OTA will work (well no one except me probably)
but if you patch it then offline mode (USB/SD) will always work.
Thats it .

So does this mean I  need VCDS or VCP original or obd11 and D-Link DUB E-100 , lan cable, a laptop and a 32gb SD card? Or can it be done via SD card script?

MHI2Q_ER_AUG22_P4212_MU1177
Audi A4 2018
I have downloaded this data as I want to patch the FEC for lifetime map updates The add FEC.txt reads
00030000
00040100
00050000
00060800
00060900
00070200
023000EE
I already have Android auto. I believe the 023000EE should able the lifetime updates. Do I just put this data in the root folder of a an SD or USB g flash via the red menu.
I do have B&O sound too in case that has to be disabled.
