hey guys, i have following issue:

e70 preLCI, JBBF3R retroffitted already (from LCI). Now i am adding KAFAS.
Windshield changed, cam installed ecu connected like oem. 

KAFAS is visible on ECU tree


BUT! as i start tool32 prg it shows me initialisation error with ecu....
- ncs expert doesnt read it
- inpa see ECU, see donor VIN and also AIF (whan doing whole car check)
--- doing whole car DTC read, it see 5-9 errors but no KAFAS detailed read...
- winkfpt aborts flash because of initialisation error...

I have already tried a second ECU, but it is all the same...
I have tried to hange PT can lines --> causing disapperaing KAFAS from ecu tree and shorting all units on PTcan

i am stuck, what could be the problem??? Missing FRM3? (i dont think so, because for communication it uses JBBF as gateway)

UPD: tried WIN10 with ICOM, WIN11 with DCAN... all other modules are readable

Yes, ECUS are correct, doublechecked, both are for e/7x (one of them):

Hi,
Do you have all the files needed for this module ? (Ediabas,..) Check with total commander.
JBBF is ok ?

Init error from my experience is faulty ediabas.ini what interface are you using? ICOM by hand? Any faults in ecu with ista?

As I said, whole car is readable, except of kafas.
Used icom and used also dcan

There is no other prg as kafas70 if I see it right, or is it TLC_60.prg?. Which JBBF3 version are you using? I remember there was something, if you want to retrofit a E7X camera onto another Exx vehicle, but I´m not sure anymore

Something wrong with your kafas70.prg 
Try copy one from Ista ECU folder to Ediabas\ECU

This control unit is from the e60

Run ista p. Does it tell you to replace kafas? Part number is correct for e70 but vin is from e60
