Need SLK250 ESP firmware updated, online? - Rotorhead - 24-03-2022

My 2012 SLK250 has the ESP light on and shows off.

I have Xentry,

Local shop says that the ESP module is working but need to be updated, and that they can not program online, so I will need to take to the dealer.

Can someone help me?

Thanks

If the module is working that is nothing about the firmware is old or new,
Don't listen to that bs.

Update firmware can be done in Vediamo or DTS,
It is very easy.
But, you have to know what file "number" need to use.
After flashing also need to check coding.

Depends what fault is that. Would be fine to see what xentry says. But anyway if software is the problem - it can be done

Xentry was not able to pull faults from the ESP/ABS module. P/N 1729014100

Bought a used module from the same model car, Xentry was able to see faults, including VIN mismatch.

Wrote the VIN to the used module with Xentry under "Special Functions" and cleared all stored faults.

All the instrument warning lights went away. Test drove the car, and all appears well.

Total expense $148.00
