Xentry not connecting with w209 - miladsam - 27-03-2022
Hello Guys
i‘m a new to the mercedes stuff. And I'm looking for a solution for the following problem. I installed Xentry last version from the forum and everything seems to work fine.
But as soon i connect to the the car it does not recognize it automaticly (in my case CLK w209) and I have to enter the car modell and mileage in the next step manually. Then when i try the quick test function it does not identify the Modules eventhough it shows the car vin and the voltage at the top.(pic is attached).
I‘m using:
Xentry PassThru 3.2022
Windows 11
Tactrix Openport 2

If your car is K line, will not work. Only Can bus car are ok with xentry PT.

Thank you for the info. It‘s CLK w209 2003 can some confirm if it‘s a can bus or k line?
And if it‘s k line wich alternatives is there for diagnosing and coding such mercedes?

2003 is k line
sd connect c4 and xentry xdos

Will china clone from AE work?
Is there any other cheaper alternatives?

C4,c5 and c6 clones are almost at the same price category.

C4,c5 and c6 clones are almost at the same price category.
C4 already is the cheapest for your need.
of course it is much expensive than those PT.
C5 is just same as C4 but more expensive,
C6 has DoIP capability but also not support old Kline, not work for you.
All MB before 2007 use Kline, maybe that the only solution.

Not exactly, in the case of the W209, from the end of 2003 it uses CAN for everything except some motor units. In general, after that date the use of K lines is residual, although it still exists.

C3 head its enough for this car.
