[REQ] BMW F-series - programming - amstel - 04-09-2014

Hi guys,

First at all I would like to thank you everyone for this great forum.
I spent a lot of time on searching but unfortunately I did not find an answer to my questions.

I am going to buy a clone ICOM A2+B+C to program F-Serie (mainly F10).

1. Which program and version you can recommend for a safe programming F-Serie:

a) ISTA\P
b) Rheingold
c) BMW E-SYS
d) NCSExpert

2.What is the main diffrences between those programs?

Thank you in advance.

ISTA/P-for programming and coding all cars
Rheingold-for diagnostics all cars
E-Sys-for programming and coding F-series
NCSExpert-for coding E-series

For safe programming of a BMW Car, you should use the same tool than in the workshop.
It is ISTA-P.

E-Sys and NCSExpert is more for the R&D Area from the manufactor. Here you need more backround know how.

ISTA-P ist made for a safe and comfortable usage with an good graphical user interface.

Rheingold is for Diagnostic only.

Rheingold ISTA D (standalone) is good for dianostic for BMW F series using ENET cable.

Does Rheingold ISTA-D work on Mini F5x?

Istap 3.56.2 or higher other wise you think something's wrong as it will take like 45min to determine a measures plan and once done the final report OMG 25 30 min as well ! do a complete coding for safe sake !
