BMW NBT_EVO Map fsc - deneyer - 15-04-2022

How do you get the fsc file (0x120) to update your maps? Can this be distracted from the car using esys and then added on the flashdrive with the mapupdate? Does anyone know a way to do this (and not using femtoevo or other that makes fake fsc)

You have two options: buy from BMW or trick the unit to accept self generated FSC. If you don't want to pay someone who made the solution, do your own research for a couple of years and come with a free solution. This way you will save 20$.

It has nothing to do with don't want to pay someone. I want the oem fsc code for my hu not a generate fake fsc.

With the previous nbt you could copy the DE to generate a code. Why in the evo its not possible then to distract the 0x120 code since its in the evo and then add it on the flash drive with the updatefile and plug it in the car.

But since there is nothing to find on forums about this guess its like you say either oem or fake, but i allready knew these 2. Tought since the evo exist allready about 7 years there would be other possibilities by now

If it would be just so easy to crack modern encryptions/e-signatures we would not have any digital security anywhere. Internet included. NBT used like 20-30 years old tech which is not a big problem for modern computers to crack.

So everyone must be so stupid to not be able to crack modern tech using other modern tech biggrin 7 years is so long time for that biggrin

Give at least one example of a tech which was cutting edge 7 years ago and now is obsolete.

Since they changed nbt_evo to mgu it means that its better and they don't make any evo anymore so its not obsolete but old.

Every day technology evolves so if you find something new today tomorrow they will find something better. Thats how the world works.

RE: BMW NBT_EVO Map fsc - Node - 15-04-2022

I fail to see your point. Being old does not mean it's easily cracked. NBT and EVO ID4 (in principle even CIC) used already obsolete technology at the time these were released just to keep map codes short because you had to enter them by hand.

Then USB drives and internet got so cheap that such tradeoff was no longer needed.
