Icom Next A issue - vld - 21-04-2022
Hello, I have an ICOM NEXT original that can't read E83 3.0d '06, why is this due to the fact that there is no support for the K line? I used to have an ICOM A2 clone and I never had to build a bridge between 7 and 8 pins and now ICOM NEXT did not want to read any module and did not identify the car at all until I made a 7 and 8 pin bridge.
Do you have any idea why this is so?
The firmware of ICOM NEX is FW_03-15-08
ISTA Standalone 4.34.4x
Any help will be helpful.

ICOM Next should read all BMW cars. If it can't then either it's faulty or there is something wrong with a car.

It is faulty, there is no switching on pin 8 and most likely one of the 393 is faulty

Hi, I enclose a few screenshots and logs of the device, if anything more can be understood from them.
The device test passes without error.
If there is a defective element on the motherboard, I hope to replace it without additional conditions, it was purchased from a company distributor of OEM parts.

I have no problem with the connection to vehicles set up on a local network with DHCP of ICOM.
I have diagnosed and programmed dozens of E9x / E6x / E7x / F10 / F30 and so on.
There is a problem specifically with the connection to the old E46 / E39 / E53 / E83.
And since until recently I used an ICOM A2 clone with which I had no problems connecting to any car, now I expected the same from ICOM NEXT A.
I have had it for a month and only now I had to inspect such a car and accordingly I realized that there is a problem.

When you connect old E46 / E39 / E53 / E83, you must give in first full vin and then connect to car...
