activating carplay/android auto on MGU with Telematics - silver430 - 28-04-2022
Hello,
i have a '19 G05 with Telematics and since connected drive is blocked in my country (Saudi Arabia) im not able to activate car play or android auto. Has there been a fix developed for this? happy to pay for remote service.
Car has been updated to 7/21 software. thanks in advanced.

You can buy OEM fsc to activate them.If you want PM.

Sadly my understanding is that an FSC purchase will not work with a factory optioned telematics. I hope im wrong but not one has yet proven otherwise but its been a while and I'm hoping a work around may have been identified.

I’ve once had a Saudi BMW to work on , had 6AE in vin. Bought the carplay fsc but never worked. Till now no updates

Same situation here, I’ve bought official 17B FSC for my G20 330i with factory installed ATM since 2019. Cannot get CarPlay activate.

The only way to do it with the FSC activation is to code out telematics and remove 6AE which is not ideal if you rely on telematics.

I’ve tried and can’t make it works.
Remove 6AE and VO code MGU: Finished with error, the CAFD corrupted, I will need to add 6AE to VO code MGU again.
Keep 6AE and add TELD to HO-Words: VO code success, but make no different.
