[Question] Change X1 F48 gearbox - jaramillo - 13-05-2022

Hello all,

As tittle says im looking for some advise related to changing a gearbox into a F48: GA8F22AW

Do i need to reset something like ISN? or this gear box does not has anything related?

When fitting a brand new EGS mechatronics, it reads and writes ISN automatically in the flash process, using E-sys or ISTA.

if the gearbox is second hand you need reset ISN and program the gearbox in your car

I didnt succeed with this job... cant find a tool to perform that job..
Any info in terms of tool will be apreciated..

No tool on world can reset as in gearbox at the moment. Don't think it's possible to clone too.

I've got some ideas how to do it but more things from gearbox donor car needed

You are right.. I have both of them but no tool to perform that, even flex hasnt the ability
