Icom Nano - codingbmwsofia - 21-05-2022

Hello, what do you think about ICOM NANO, What was the idea of BMW with this device? As for me, this is a total mistake, the device is too limited for the original device, maybe BMW realized this and therefore stopped production? It is currently not available anywhere in any dealership in Europe. I'm interested in your opinion on what BMW aimed at with this and isn't it a spectacular failure?

RE: Icom Nano - Node - 21-05-2022

BMW ALWAYS specified that this device is designed EXCLUSIVELY for specific app running on iPads to be used to demonstrate some BMW features in showrooms. Everyone here tries to use it for diagnosis and then complains.... Never understood that. So not sure who is a "spectacular failure" here wink

RE: Icom Nano - Enabled - 21-05-2022

ICOM Nano is basically a wireless CANBUS (similar to function as kdcan) interface. It's not particularly fast, at least INPA hangs quite a bit before it goes.

It was meant to activate a few low level demonstration items.. all stuff you can do with tool32 even.
It's just ok. I bought one before anyone knew it existed and it basically just sits in the drawer.

At one point it worked with Bimmercode, then it stopped working with it.
