Using do-it-auto USB-OBD for Ista+ 4.33.15 and Ista-P 3.69 - ellisekizh - 04-06-2022

Hello dear guys

I have the following device:

K+DCAN USB Premium Diagnostic Set K-Line and OTG for BMW from do-it-auto.

On my notebook I have installed ISTA+ 4.33.15 and ISTA-P 3.69.

Unfortunately I can not connect with the USB OBD.

In the obd.ini file I have selected the correct COM and set the wait time to 1ms in the device manager.

With the Ediabas configurator I selected STD:OBD and configured the setting. The ediabas.ini file is located in C:/ec-apps/ediabas/bin/EDIABAS.INI

I checked the file and the configuration took it.
I still cannot establish a connection with ISTA+ and Ista-P.

With ISTA+ I have selected ediabas.ini in the settings. With ISTA-P i can select only automatically.

I also noticed the following: In the Insallation folder of ISTA-P:
C:\ProgramData\BMW\ISPI\data\TRIC\ISTA-P\BMW\Environment\EDIABAS\BIN

there is another folder for EDIABAS. Now I do not know if it matters?

Any help is greatly appreciated and I look forward to your messages. [Image: hi.gif]

kindly regards

ellisekizh

ISTA-P can't work with USB without external "help". Period. You need ISTA-P launcher with ICOM emulator for that.

For ISTA+ is C:/ec-apps/ediabas/bin added to PATH environment variable? If not, you need to edit ediabas.ini which is within ISTA+.

Thank you for your answer.

Do you have a download link for the correct ISTA-P ICOM emulator launcher?

Can I delete the Ediabas folder in ISTA+ and link the Ediabas folder from EC apps to the ISTA+ path? The Ediabas Configuator would process the same files. Would it work?

No, I do not have full launcher (did not need one for many years), but it's definitely here on the forum. Note, that Lite launcher (no emulation) is free. Launcher with ICOM emulation is paid.

No you can't delete.

You must use Ediabas.ini om C Ediabas, bin, Ediabas.ini, and also Obd.ini in this location.

ISTA-P and INPA are now working.

I still have problems with ISTA+.

Is it possible to select which ediabas.ini to use with ISTA+?
