BMW X3 F25 manual headlight adjustment retrofit - mike1 - 25-03-2020

Hi!

Working on a F25 that has auto adjusted headlights replaced with headlights that have manual beam adjustment and light switch with rotary switch installed.

Made wiring from Frm to headlight motors. Recoded Frm Lwr value to manual adjustment. After that i can see the rotary switch positions from the Frm, but there is no voltage coming out from the Frm to the light motors.

Anyone aware if there is something else to be coded or what may be the issue?
Checked different lwr values but did not find anything suspicious.

Cheers

you will need a halogen type frm3, if car has xe or ahl from factory, man lwr do not work

It came from the factory with halogens, just with automatic beam adjustment.
Also parts catalog gives only one part nr for FRM, same fro halogen and xenon - so i can't see a difference here.

When you buy FRM from the "parts catalog" - it will work in both manual or auto LWR.
But not the one standing on the car...
This is the difference between a "car part" and a "spare part" for it.
There are no unnecessary elements in the " car part".

Cheers. Will try my luck with another Frm for manual halogen adjustment.

Took a frm from vehicle with manual adjustment for testing and it sends signal for adjusting motors - so there is in fact a hardware difference in frm-s.

Thanks for thinking along
