Hello everyone,

On the internet I read that it should be possible to recover bricked VAG EDC17 ecu , by flashing VAS PC flash files.

I wonder how this is possible, because as fas as I know, the ECU dosnot respond to OBD anymore when it was damaged by flashing wrong file(checksum) in bootmode/OBD.

Does anybody know an answer for this ?

Thank you .

Best regards,

John

Hello,
I have a serious problem, I tried flashing the ECU of my VW GolfV with ODIS-5.0.14 and failed, now the ecu is dead, communicates with odis but does not work in the car, I have the VAS5054 that works very well with diagnosis ODIS-2.2.4, I have not updated the FW, the version that I have is the 1.20.13, I devo update? FW can be the reason for the failure?

best regards.

ODIS-E 5.0.14 is using his own firmware so it has nothing to do with your unmodified ODIS-S 2.2.4 firmware.
Have you used a battery charger during the update ?

Yes, I used a charger to 13.5V,

I read that some interface VAS 5054 not serve to flashing, is that correct?
as I can tell if my "vas 5054" is OK to blink?
