FYI:
As said before, I'm running ODIS S 2.2.7 with the latest postsetup from Aleksander. Still works great and today I also succeed upgrading firmware to the 1.20.29 version without errors. After that I used the special patch again for my bad bluetooth chip just to be sure (copied the files to the 1.20.29 directory). The only thing odd thing is that I still really have to use the standard preloaded Windows driver for Vas5054, other drivers simply don't work.

Installed ODIS E 6.2.2 from this topic (VAG collection part 3) today. Tried it before, but always got errors on this 6.2.2 version. After a succesfull installation (in german/deutsch only, so I didn't had to rename files), I started ODIS Engineering and received an error when connecting with the vehicle: ODS8001E.. After some thinking I applied the same bad bluetooth chip patch from Odis S on the 1.20.23 directory used by Odis E.
Success! Flashed a control module without any problems.

Too long didn't read summary:
If using VAS5054 with bad bluetooth chip (so no amb2300) and having problems with Odis E 6.2.2:
for Odis E 6.2.2 you can use the same patch as used for Odis S 2.2.7. Only thing you have to do is copy the patch to 1.20.23 directory also.

I don't think you should be flashing through bluetooth. Use USB.

I'm not using bluetooth at all. It's just that you will receive this error if your vas5054 has got this unofficial bluetooth-chip in it. Even though the error is because this bluetooth chip, you can't connect with USB either. So it does not depend on making a bluetooth connection or not.

Ah, Ok. Understood now. I guess I got lucky with my VAS5054?

It does not have AMB2300, but another Bluetooth inside, with full chips.
It all works fine out of the box without mods with ODIS S 2.2.7 and 1.20.29 api. Where do I get this Bluetooth patch if I come to need it?

RE: VAS-PC ; Odis Service and ODIS Engineering ; Flash Files English - irish07 - 09-11-2015

I have version 2.2.6 and the Bentley brand does not work on it..can anyone confirm Bentley works on this release?..if it does, would I just need a PostSetup update or a complete delete of what I have and complete new install of the entire ODIS in this thread?
