I have a Mercedes glc 2018 in the UK, is there a way to code the lights to switch over for driving in Europe then switch them back once returning to the UK?

Try looking in the vehicle manual, many have a manual procedure.

A bit odd but the manual says no need for adjustments on a car with halogen lights. I though halogen lights were always asymmetric.
A car with ILS needs changing settings from the cluster menu. Again a bit odd, later models with multibeam leds have a symmetric pattern and do not need changes for LHD/RHD roads.

Precisely because they are asymmetrical beams, the adjustment is necessary, my 3 mercedes with Xenon have it in the headlight to avoid the obvious glare that they would produce when driving along the lane contrary to usual
