E38 93s66 IKE mileage - lustek - 26-07-2022
Hi,
After battery drain instrument cluster and EWS show 999999 km.
I correct mileage on EWS but need help with IKE.
Eeprom dump in atachement.
I already try pasoft mileage correction tool but no luck.
Dont want to disassembly ike because od needles.
Maybe if I have correct dump, with correct mileage I can try just write eeprom - what you thing?
Could somebody correct for me this dump with propper mileage? Even in case when I need to write to blank eeprom - just want to write, assemby everything back and done
Now mileage show all 9 and have fault in IKE aboute wrong checksum
Dest. mileage - 339300

If in the IKE not 35080 eprom has and you have PA soft, then you need one signalgenerator witch can make maybe 200Hz
Then this signal connect for the speed pin and use the PA soft.

This is mor then enoug!
if the output signal is 12VI use that one:
The BNC negative connect to the car negative (GND) and the signal (hotspot) to the "Speed signal" pin+
Depend on which kind of type: LOW or HIGH (CC) two or three connector, see pictures:

I think this generator dont have 12V on output so I need to found else.
What kind of signal it should generate? squer or sin? or no mater?

Squer and 50% is ok. But I don't think it's sensitive to the fill factor (duty cycle)
If you dont have 12V output then you need one transistor and two resistor to make open collector output foryour signal generator.

thank you very much.I bought same generator as you post so I dont need to make open collector.
So, mileage could be write when on dash will be 2 km/h or 200 km/h?

I don't remember exactly anymore but in PA soft in the KOMBI you have menu for the mileage correction where it asks for the exact value valuewhat you want to see.
It also says to connect the speed signal there also the required frequency.
Then you see the mileage is go up (slowly)
And maybe 1-2 minutes as if make a reset and the KOMBI switch off and on and tadam!

Yes but in my case, mileage not go UP because I have all 999999. OK, will try and report when signal generator arrived
