Odis Engineering 14 installation problem (java) - mars2moon - 28-07-2022
I have a problem installing. The message appears and it aborts. I installed the latest Java version but it didn't help. Anyone have a solution or tip for this?

Try to install exact this version which is required by ODIS (remove old or other Java before). Link is added. But I think that correct version should be installed with ODIS. I never had this problem. Let me know if it solved your problem.

That's bad.
If nobody brings better solution, try complete reinstall ODIS. I think that Java is conatined into ODIS folder, but unfortunately I'm not at home to check. In the afternoon I'll check it, if there will not be better solution.

uninstall and clean all odis packages(delete also remaining folders in programfiles and programdata), reboot(use ccleaner or similar to make sure registry are clean and also temp files), INSTALL AS ADMINISTRATOR again odis , exclude from antivirus(defender), replace patch files and RUN THE PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR after.

I got help via remote and found out that odis E is not compatible with my VAS adapter and I actually don't need odis e at all

But VAS incompatibility is not your problem. ODIS tells to you that It couldn't find Java environment on any version which is required to start. So new VAS will not resolve it. You need to reinstall ODIS as told to you Justdiag.

allready fixed + for his 5054 he installed now 12.2 ...
