OP-COM - SW CAN Not working at all. - Patrik - 07-08-2022

Hi, I have this Opcom china clone. I have already changed the Pic and restored almost all function. K-Line , hscan and mscan works but swcan is not working. i checked the relay and conections and its all ok. First when i connected it to car it displayed no communication with all th SWCan devices. so i checked the pcb again and looked to my good clone where all work ok. i found nothing only that everything is fine. Where to look what could be the problem? Thanks for answer

As I can see from your pics the MCU it is Pic18F45K80 but not the real PIC18F458.
What OP-COM version did you tried?
You can check the SW-CAN transciver and replace it if it needs.
Good luck

Pic has been changed already, it's old photo. I tested on all fantomel versions. So the mc33 something could be bad?

If you check all the rest and everything is alright then the next step is to replace the SW-CAN transciver.
Try it.
Good luck

OK thanks for answer. But this transceiver is almost as costly as a whole fake opcom on aliexpres. Hmm. Ok.

First of all you cannot find this chip in other place then in China in this days.
You also can find it in other op-com china clones that have more problems then yours.
I hope you will find a low cost solution.
Good luck

@mattydr67

I have a problem with the connection via SW CAN and MS CAN (2xOpcom HQ). (Replacing the relay did not help) Can you tell which specific transcivers are responsible for SW CAN and MS CAN?
Thanks.

Here you have
Check or replace item
If your interace can connect to the HS-CAN controllers the you can the MS-CAN changing the MS-CAN transciver with the HS-CAN one an vice-versa.
You can see it is the transciver issue.

Good luck

Thanks a lot.
There is a problem with SW Can in my interface and my friend with MS CAN.
I have 3 damaged opcoms so no problem with parts. The bigger problem will be with soldering but I will try (but I have an air soldering iron).
Regards.
