F02 MSD85 - ltujustas - 18-08-2022
Hello. I have some trouble by reading msd85 ecu. Tried with flex and with fc200, it’s allways asking secret key or tricore password. I think it’s same. Any ideas how read that ecu ?

i've been using microtronik hextag/hexprog to read/write msd85 successfully. is the dme original untouched or has someone tried to clone the unit using backup and restore method? this dme has a password inside and traditional methods of backup and restore do not work to successfully clone this dme. with hextag tool, there is clone function that will read the password and properly will clone the unit.

I don’t know, there’s no catalyst at all. I think someone tried to delete them but I don’t know if successfully
But I don’t need clone, only read flash. There’s no other solution to get password ? I seen there ecu index 04. Maybe if I change ecu to lower index, maybe that way I will pass password with tools ?
