clone ICOM A2 with a strange habit - Vojno - 15-09-2022

Hi!

ICOM A2 not a bad clone but I can't update to the latest firmware.

I managed to update it once or twice before, but the latest v:03.22.11 can't!

The update process appears to be running but after booting again the 03.15.09

Same for me Vojno, I have a Next clone, inside an A2. The last firmware will not complete. This means for me that ISTA version 4.34.4 is for my Icom the last working version.

I want to buy a Icom genuine, but still in backorder.

I had such a problem and solved it by repairing the ICOM memory bank, it should be 256MB properly. This can be checked on the server. Clones very often only have half the memory - around 126MB. In my case it was the same. the update was successful and the old firmware was still there. Everything works fine after repair.

In the ISTA 4.36.41 with all SDP/BLP and SQlitedbs in the same version (activated from Sedoy), my ICOM clone can work also in 3.15.09 firmware.
Also cant update to 3.22.11.

Can you solve it?

Ferrum wrote how to solve this memory problem, but I can't find it, maybe the previous forum crashed!

Try to flash very latest version first and report back.

So, I have to change the R119 to 1kOhm, and I can updated to the latest firmware.
Everything seems fine!

Only one intresting thing!, That the RAM is 126836kbytes.

See a miracle:  [Image: rolling.gif]

Thank you for Ferrum & Cowboy for knowledge and experience.
I change boot resistance:
R191 1kOhm.
R195 33Ohm
Then restored and updated the ICOM and then see the picture.
