Battery SOC - david99 - 10-10-2022

Hi All,

Is there possible to activate battery SOC (Battery Charge) option on instruments in newer VW cars 2018 and up with Active Info Display. I know that on older cars with normal instruments - no AID there was adaptation channel Battery Charge which needed to be enabled but I do not see that in AID. Any idea? Or is there possible to activate Battery SOC to be somewhere in infotainment?

Thanks,

David

Hi, I have tried to activate with OBDEleven Ultimate on a Skoda Superb 2017, and is not working even if shows that is activated.

I don't know if it's a myth, but from what I understand, VAG removed this option because people checked immediately after driving the State of Charge and the SOC showed 0 and they thought they had problems with the battery and asked for a check or its replacement.
For OK results related to the SOC, the car must not be started for at least an hour before checking the SOC.

That is really shame, I know that when vehicle is in Transport mode it is showing battery percentage in dash.
