Dr. Gini i have connected an e90 but despite the fact that the car is recognized by the programm and there is communication between car and pc(the can light blinks) the cauges and the chart show 0.what am i doing wrong?

Windows 7 ? 64 bits?
Ediabas version? SP Daten version?
Interface type? interface configuration?
Car model? engine type?
If Dr.Gini can already communicate with this car, please send me some screenshots of what already works

it should be in next September
I couldn't implement the new planned functions since I cannot afford the required software and hardware. The donations don't cover my needs
So, nothing revolutionary in the next release. Only existing code improvement

Made another installation,
after installing Gini the istagui icon and shortcut icon changed to white with nothing inside.
Where could be the problem, ista rund still quite well.
The only thing ista and Gini share is Ediabas, could there be the problem?

this is a known issue with all Windows. It has nothing to do with Dr.Gini or Ediabas
Try this Microsoft fix and report

Hi there,
Thank you for making this tool available, currently having a play to see what it offers.
When I run the Gini application installation (I downloaded it today) my antivirus (AVG) reports that it has found a virus in \bin\utils\cic.exe. Please can you advise?

Hi ajhawkes,
I know that. I recommend you to replace your actual antivirus with Microsoft Security Essentials
and use Malwarebytes regulary
There is no security issue with Dr.Gini

OK, thanks, sorry if I missed a previous post - not had time to go through all 45 pages of history and not managing to get the Search engine to help me narrow things down.
Was not trying to scaremonger either - just wanted to check it was a false-positive - as I know that these things happen.
