BMW F06 - N63 Engine Error and Limp-Mode - Borys - 01-11-2022

Hello Everybody,

i have a problem with a BMW F06. Someone flashed EGS with Alpina-Software (remote via Enet).

Some days later the guy flashed back to stock.

After that, while acceleration , error apper and car is in limp-mode (no power)

Errors (Ista):
-DME - Manipulationsschutz: Programm oder Datenmanipulation erkannt
-Ladedruckregelung, Plausibilität , Druck zu niedrig
-Ladedruckregelung, Abschaltung als Folgereaktion
-Permanente SAE-Fehlercodes erkannt
- DME Slave -  Manipulationsschutz: Programm oder Datenmanipulation erkannt
-Ladedruckregelung 2, Abschaltung als Folgereaktion

We dont know history of the car. Dont know it DME is ori oder modified.

Thank you for your help.

Well the error code clearly states the DME has been tampered with. What version of ISTA you using? Newer version detects tuning.

...so you think that car is tuned ? but we flashed both DME with Esys ori.

I will try with bench (Autotuner Tool) hope it will help.

There was a thread here regarding this code, even if you flashed to stock map the tamper code for DME appeared.

Look here: https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.php?tid=68755&highlight=tuning

-Ladedruckregelung, Plausibilität , Druck zu niedrig

You have this code. It states your boost pressure is too low, maybe a problem with one of your hoses ( high pressure side) Maybe do a smoke test?

If this is okay the DME might be damaged internally so back-flash wont be helpfull... I had this once with a N20b20 which was tuned, flash to oem software still did not overwrite the tuning and car would go into limp modes. I replaced the DME and all fine ( ofcourse)

I also read the other thread. Maybe you can try the VCM altering trick... I have no experience with this.

edit: They have a diffrerent problem in the other thread. Yours is linked to a limp mode, they want to outsmart BMW group warranty

Yep obviously the linked thread is to show that flashing back to stock will not get rid of that tune detected fault code.

He needs to follow the test plan for each fault code and go from there.

somehow a tool like bootmod3 can restore the flash and get rid of that error as well.

This is not true, current versions of ISTA will flag the car for modifying the ECU.

So you think that a bench flash with autotuner wont help ?

Can you provide the fault codes as well so we can look into it a little better rather than the fault description.
