n55 engine turns off itself if we start moving immediately after starting engine - bmwlover - 11-11-2022
Hello. I opened car started engine and accelerated immediately. Engine stops itself.
I opened car started engine and accelerated in 3 seconds, then works.
What can be reason? Another car on n55 engine does not act same. Can start engine and move immediately.
(I know that it is better to wait few seconds but just my curiosity as 2 cars act differently from each other)

No errors. Just turns off if you move car immediately after starting. If you wait 2-3 seconds after starting, then goes normally.

had the same issue with a f30 with enginee b40b20 some time ago. Solved clearing fault codes with ista even not having any errors.

If you do not have error, in ista "clear error" button is greay and you cannot erase.

In 3 seconds dme is still in open loop and is depending on dme map. You have either
1. Insufficient fuel pressure or fuel supply
2. Insufficient or un-metered air.
Check lambda and multiplicative ratios , and see if they are OK

he said no air leaks, but did he actually check physically check the charge pipe or is he just guessing since there is no code for lean mixture or air mass plausibility?
