Trying to update ISTA/P with BMW_ISPI_ISTA-P_SYS_3.55.1.001 msi and DAT files. From version ISTA/P 3.55.0.300 but when install reaches end it starts to ROLL BACK. After rolling back it gives error " Setup Wizard ended prematurely because of an error. ... ".

Any hep appreciated. Thanks.fail

I upgraded from version 3.55.1.001 to 2.001. When trying to install 3.001 it says basic version of ista not found. Any ideas??

Did you start ISTA between the two versions with the loader?
If so, the loader changes files in the installation folder, so ISTA notices that and gives out this error.

Solution:
back up your installation in case you want to update later

In your case it's the best to start all over new with basic installation version and update without starting ISTA in between

Before update, replace this file with the original:
C:\ProgramData\BMW\ISPI\data\TRIC\ISTA-P\BMW\DataProcurement\cfg\ApplicationConfig.xml

Original file:
C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\BMW Group\BMW ISTA-P Loader V3.2\3.2.0.0\latest_version\Dataprocurment\BMW\DataProcurement\cfg\ApplicationConfig.xml

Thanks for replies , just trying the replace original file option and will see if it installs now without rolling back. thumbsup

Just tried this option: Works perfect, thanks! biggrin

BMW ISTA-P 3.55.0.300 + 3.55.1.001 + 3.55.2.001 + 3.55.3.001 + 3.55.4.000 - berniw - 24-05-2015

I've tried it, doesn't work for me, I think I might got the original and the other wrong way round.

Which one is to changed ?.

Copy the original file

C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Roaming\BMW Group\BMW ISTA-P Loader V3.2\3.2.0.0\latest_version\Dataprocurment\BMW\DataProcurement\cfg\ApplicationConfig.xml

to

C:\ProgramData\BMW\ISPI\data\TRIC\ISTA-P\BMW\DataProcurement\cfg\ApplicationConfig.xml

This worked for me.

For me it didn't work either. So best is to start all over new without starting ISTA in between, as I posted earlier.
