Learning of programming, dumping, flashing,... - CarX - 22-12-2022 Hello, I dont know if I put this on right thread or if this theread is somwhere here yet (I dont find it) and if it is I'm sorry to make it again. So I am new on programming and I want to learn something new. For beginning I have few questions: 1. I saw on posts that some people are sending dump files of ECU. My question is how to read this dump from EEPROM? Is it possible only to open ECU, desolder chip and read it with EEPROM programmer or is there some tools and programs that can read this dump from can-bus on bench, change HEX and then write it again? Proboably there are different technics for older and new cars? 2. Simmilar question for dasboards (changing VIN and mileage BACK not forward)? 3. Question about HEX editing. Is there any tool that can find where is mileage stored or you should find it from dump to dump by hand or any powerful software for hex editing (I have HxD)? Sometimes it is stored on one place sometimes on two or three places. For ecu depends what you wanna do as my collegue mention neep eep or full or partial read by obd or bdm ......... BR
