Hi
Is it possible to find out if immo is on or off on VAG edc17, pcr2.1 ecus with diag tool or other way?
I am asking because sometimes I suggest to the owner of the car, or I must do sw downgrade to predieselgate version.. I am doing this with autotuner device through virtual file, virtual file is not real file, so if immo is off the car will not start after virtual downgrade,upgrade?. Till now never had problems with no starting, but to avoid problems in the future, I want to know if somewhere is possible to check this?
If with virtual update,downgrade the owner of the car lose tuning, or any other dissabled stuff I dont care,he will accept risk, but if the car will not start, that is my problem, my additional time,costs..and unhappy customer, of course

Try check with VCDS

Value =1 immo off
Value =4 Immo On.
