6wa cluster R270 not reading eeprom for VIN change - Pawel M - 15-01-2023
H. Could anyone help with R270 (red board)? Is there a rework needed?
I have 160DOWT chip desolder but no matter what I try it does not read the chip. I want to change VIN in a cluster so it works correctly in F10. At the moment cluster is working fine with red dot but doesnt allow to read/reset service (because of different VIN)

With R270 should not be problem reading 160DOWT , the only problem will be erasing increment area
at the two first lines.If your programmer does not read use another tool.

thanks but i only have r270 because it was cheap, what other tool you thinking? no point of me buying expensive vvdi just for one job (for my cluster upgrade) r270 when it reads it only shows 0000000's everywhere or sometimes when reads it is getting stuck on "veryfing"

SN74AHC08DR - U2 CAN REPLACE
or change adapter
