2010 GL450 Cluster Cloning - HOW? - dfitz21 - 27-01-2023

I have a 2010 GL450 with an instrument cluster that is dead. I installed a different cluster and it works but the mileage displays ------. The original part is 1649008200 and the one is 1645403247. Is there any way to clone this cluster and if so with which tool? I have Autel IM608

Read 4 byte SSID from old dash or eis and write to New dash 
Otherwise post both dashboard dumps so we do it for you

VVDI PROG can do the job BUT you can try swap eeprom 24c16 from old dash to new one using hot air or soldering station , should work if data not corrupted

Since you have IM608 find someone who can set mileage to zero(or upload dump) , that will be 
virgin dashboard . Then with IM608  you can adapt drive authorization to your dash.

reset only mileage will not helps ...
need also transfer SSID to new dash otherwise display will show -----

Very easy to swap the chip. Thank you for the info. Where did you find the information about the location of the chip so quickly? Is there a book I need to download or a website I need to know about?

Hello 
When dashboard is set mileage to zero that means it is virgin . With MB star or IM608 in his case it is possible to transfer authorization data (SSID) from EZS to the dashboard by OBD.
