Evo emmc - RSE vs non RSE ? - anstr - 06-02-2023 Hi, Just wanted to confirm something with more experienced users around swaping emmc between US Evo units. - US ID5 + RSE (broken emmc) - US ID5 non RSE (known working one) Can I swap emmc between them ? Reason I'm asking is I see additional chip (NXP DF19988AHNC137 / SGM496.1 / ZSD17091) on RSE emmc which is not present on non-RSE PCB. Thanks for feedback RE: Evo emmc - RSE vs non RSE ? - Jartsa - 07-02-2023 I think that there will be some errors if the hardware differs from the software that much. Maybe not booting at all. RE: Evo emmc - RSE vs non RSE ? - sambir - 07-02-2023 You can swap. But after swapping flash the latest istep RE: Evo emmc - RSE vs non RSE ? - anstr - 07-02-2023 (07-02-2023, 05:59 AM)Jartsa Wrote: I think that there will be some errors if the hardware differs from the software that much. RE: Evo emmc - RSE vs non RSE ? - sambir - 07-02-2023 Probably not. If you need to use RSE since it has no chip present. But any coding regarding RSE would also fail. |
