hi there i am currently thinking off removing my rtech map from my 2009 audi s3
i have an old version of mpps which currently cannot read the ecu.
which tool would i need to buy to read and write to the above car?

You can use ktag, best doing these ECUs on the bench, good equipment for obd with virtual read is expensive, ktag clone on the bench is no problem , you'll need a BDM adapter

Could you possibly share a link to what a bdm adapter is.
