Is it true that Headunits with aftermarket FSC's will be damaged if flashed with 4.41 PSdZdata resulting in a new EVO/NBT etc to be installed?

Just checked flash/TAL for S15A and F20 for few cars and there's no btld or swfl in with this 4.41 release. Therefore I think it's a hoax or mishap for few users.
In general I think BMW would not be investing more time in units that are not fitted in new cars anymore. All hands on deck to save MGU now

all aftermarket FSC are being lost when flashing with ANY version, but never heard of it damaging units.
lack of knowledge, that's what damages units

I wonder if its just deleting the FSCs rather than them just being rejected due to the SIG & CERTs being overwritten
