MMI 3G HDD Basic LOW HIGH - Software New Logo Wallpaper - CenturionM - 06-05-2023
Some useful operations on the MMI can be performed using scripts run from the SD card.
The scripts are run identically regardless of the version, all information will also be displayed on the screen.
We download the necessary archive and unpack it to a clean SD card formatted as FAT32, everything must be in the root directory of the card
We start the MMI (inserting the key or starting the engine, it is important that the MMI starts)
For peace of mind, we wait 3 minutes for the MMI to start up completely
Insert the SD card into the slot
We should see a welcome screen
Press any button, e.g. on the knob
Wait a moment, when the script finishes its work, an appropriate message will appear with information on how to reset the MMI
Press any button, e.g. on the knob
We wait about a minute and then remove the card from the slot
We reset the MMI (Setup + Button in the knob + Upper right next to the knob)
Scripts
Hidden menu activation:
1. Connect to 5F
2. Enter Adaptation - 10
3. Channel 06
4. Change the value from 0 to 1.
5. Save
6. Refresh MMI (Press SETUP + pad + upper right button simultaneously and release when the screen is off).
The hidden menu will appear after pressing SETTINGS + CAR at the same time
Extract the content directly to the SD card.
fire up the MMI, wait about 3 minutes. then insert the card into the slot, the screen will show info to press any key, after a while it should say that the script has been executed.
do a restart of the MMI and the green menu should appear
On the card in the backup directory there will be copies of two files before the change - so you can always restore them.
Custom start screen (splash)
Thanks to this script, we can upload our own start screen displayed when starting MMI.
for MMI Basic - 400x240
for MMI High - 800x480
The image should be saved under the name startup_generic.png in the splashscreens folder on the SD card. An example splash is already in the archive. After the action is completed, in the backup folder on the card you will find the default startup screens saved from the MMI, just in case someone wants to go back to the original one, they copy it as startup_generic.png to the splashscreens folder and run the script again.
