Evo in E60 looses randomly gps position - Fx82 - 06-05-2023
I've an evo with 18-03 software in an E60 lci.
The evo unit has the gps connector on the back. Gps position is working great.
Then an atm module was installed to get rtti, weather services etc. All are working.
It looks like after installing the atm module the gps position isn't correct anymore.
Sometimes it takes (at least) 30 min before it finds its position or while driving it also looses position.
Loosing position goes randomly.
Today also I left the car for 2 hours, started it again and went driving and position was off again for 15 min.
I've the atm module installed in the trunk.
When position is off I checked the secret menu and it has 3dFix also number of satellites is between 11 and 15.
Maybe a coding setting is wrong that it uses atm for gps iso the one on the back of the evo unit?

resetting gps from tool32 in evo helped me in my case

that's a common issue with aftermarket GPS antennas.

I tried this setting (gyro_intern on nicht_aktiv) but still the same.

Check the physical orientation of the ATM module and if it is securely bolted down. I had a similar issue, when the ATM module was not properly bolted down during initial test drive (also E60).

Is there a physical orientation required for the atm?
I've mounted it on the same location where the tcu is located. Can provide a picture if needed.
