Ecu Bosch random Missfire - vanderferdas - 08-05-2023

Hi guys

Have a Bosch 0261S06472 Ecu from a Peugeot 3008 1.6 MEV 17.4.2 wich have random missfires detected, usually on cilinder 4. All mechanical components involved (sparks, coils, wiring, etc double checked and all ok ). When engine is cold works fine but when is hot start missfires.

Anyone can help with his experience about repair this control unit, prefer repair if any information available front clone the unit

Thanks in advance for any help

Have a nice day.

hello
you have a mechanical problem
check engine compression or oil pressure problem
90% it's not ecu problem
good luck

Hi.

If ALL is mechanically p-e-r-f-e-c-t : Sensor, Coil, Actuator, Variable timing and Variable Pulley PERFECTLY fitted, etc.....

The last is the MEV 17.4.2 WHO is well known to be easily breakable...

Sometimes, if one or more Coil are shorted or dead with this ECU, it isn't impossible than some MosFET F-A-I-L-E-D.

Causing some misfiring....

I've changed the MosFET and all is perfect now biggrin

If help anybody, finally SOLVED changing Variable Pulley of camshaft, appears to be good, but when engine start warming lost hidraulic pressure and ECU "interpret" missfiring....this variable pulley or camshaft sproket was only 75€ at original Peugeot dealer.

Have a nice day

If this had been the case, the car would have started poorly even when cold. These engines are well known for this type of problem, in fact it is a good idea to disconnect the phase variators to see if the engine runs correctly.
