Use sideview as rearview G01 - jeroenbmw - 14-06-2023 Hello, Is it possible to use sideviewcamera ICAM2-S as rearview for retrofit in G01 series? Or does only ICAM2-R works? RE: Use sideview as rearview G01 - Mwahab - 14-06-2023 No its not possible, completely different hardware RE: Use sideview as rearview G01 - Node - 14-06-2023 (14-06-2023, 15:05 PM)Mwahab Wrote: No its not possible, completely different hardware You sure??? It's the EXACTLY same camera on G30. And ETK gives same part number for both mirror and rear cameras on G01 too. Oh same even for from camera as well. RE: Use sideview as rearview G01 - jeroenbmw - 14-06-2023 Hi, I am doing retrofit, and i know 1000% cables are ok, but i buy rearcamera but seller send ICAM2-S and its not working. I think only possible use as rear camera when have 360C camera system because than camera connected to other ECU. With only rear its direct connect to BDC or ENS RE: Use sideview as rearview G01 - Mwahab - 14-06-2023 If the car is with surround view camera, yes side front rear are the same But he wants to install the ICAM-S thats works with an ECU instead of ICAM-R ONLY. Thats completely different, wont work or even read in diag, wiring is different as well. Surround view cameras ICAM2-S ( Rear, side, front) Same *works with ecu Reversing camera only ICAM2-R (REAR VIEW ONLY without an ECU) RE: Use sideview as rearview G01 - Node - 14-06-2023 Oh I thought we are talking about 5DN cameras. You can't use 5DN camera as simple (non-5DN) rear view camera. RE: Use sideview as rearview G01 - litany - 14-06-2023 Simple answer, NO you can’t use S as R |
