hello i would like some information please
I would like to improve the steering wheel with paddles on bmw e90
do I have to provide electrical wiring or just code please?

paddles with double function wants wiring to gear knob and no coding necessary (diesel pre lci)
paddles with single function wants wiring to e-box and coding is necessary (diesel lci)
paddles for smg are different...
what paddles do you want to retrofit? On wich car? please be more specific

Ok these paddles are only for lci models and not for pre lci. You have to modify them to work on pre-lci, removing one resistor for each paddle and do wiring to gear knob

yes I removed the resistors, I wired but now DS mode no longer works.
I must code or can be wired to the ebox?

Check every wires, also inside gear lever, they brokes.
After this if software is very old, you must upgrade.
