Hi everyone,

Looking to revert the settings for an clone ICOM Next.
Basically looking for an example or someone to confirm if system.settings file that resets everything to default only has this line:

with ignored Ip, Netmask, Gateway.

assuming that you have an icom A1 like every clone, and assuming that you have a working reset button circuit fitted,in attachment you will find all.

If OP is looking to just revert IP settings, then it can be done. But the file shall be called user.settings.

Thank you. Really appreciated. Will try and post the results.

It will NOT help you if you really have a VxDiag in ICOM case... Read my reply to your other post.

true, i agree with Node, in fact i wrote assuming that you have an a1 clone, like all clones...

Thank you so much for the files. Here is what happens:
- I tried just with the USER.settings file first. I also copied the log empty file. I made sure the Lan cable is disconnected. Connected the ICOM to the car and waited for the System light to turn solid green. I inserted the usb and the red lights started rolling from System to Comm in succession and back. I left it for like 20 minutes with no change (red lights doing same dance). I decided to stop disconnect the device and usb. There was no log file on the usb drive anymore. I tried to reconnect the device as a test to the lan from start and the old IP was still there as mentioned above.
- I thought this might be because of naming of the file so I did 3 more tries as above: 1. renaming to user.settings with all lower case, with and without log empty file. I left each 10 minutes with no result.
- I decided to do a full reset. So I copied the full folder to the usb and plugged the device holding the reset switch and holding the reset button. Then as soon as the lights pop red pressing the reset 3 times quickly. Nothing happens in this situation and no matter how many times I tried I get to a solid green System light.

NOTE: the web interface worked initially but wanted to change to a local static IP to allow ISTA+ to see the device. IRadar would see the device properly at the time. After typing a static IP and pressing update I get this behavior.

Am I pressing the reset button incorrectly or is there anything I am doing wrong?

Based on your other thread : IF you have a VxDiag clone (which has NOTHING in common with ICOM) you CAN'T USE ICOM things on it!!!
