BMW RDC (TPMS) Sensor ID HEX coding ? - Nerox - 06-07-2023

Hi,

I'd like to know if there is a way to manually code a new RDC sensor without the procedure via ISTA-D  ? Since I know the ident of my replacement sensor (ID  printed on the sensor  and Hex ident  via RDC tool .

Is it possible via NCS-Expert ?

Other diag tools (MotoScan &GS911) have a special windows in the app to  do so.

Bike :
F800 GT  '13

Interface : BMW  ICOM  + D cable

With NCS cant, but vith INPA yes, or tool32!

But the ID is in decimal. wink

mrrdc.prg
rdc_write_transmitter_id
front_id; rear_id

Thanks Vojno, You're always my savior !!

INPA works on motorcycle? I Didn't know smile

So i need to put the ID that is writed down on the sensor
Also, this is the second wheel set, so is it "Rear2_id" ?

Yep!  smile

With the "old" K2x RDC can stored two sets of tire.

If you want to use the second sets, then:
mrrdc.prg
  rdc_write_transmitter_id_set_b
     front_id; rear_id

Thanks to you, I was able to code the rdc rear transmitter as you explain above, with tool32
But it's still undetected by the motorcycle /Kombi

My old, original sensors are ref 36238521796 which was superseeded by 36318532732 according to etk. The sensor I've coded is a 32. Could it cause an issue?..

Any idea what I've done wrong? (or perhaps the sensor died since..)

If you have ISTA, then you can check it, and if you write the sensor ID to a paper, then can you add with ISTA too!

Thanks again Vojno,

I've Ista, but I never get the prompt to add the sensor ID  - Ista-D just waits for sensor activation via a TPMS tool that i can't have at home ...

I've checked today with a TPMS activation tool of a mechanic nearby - the sensor is working and is " in learning mode" , at least when the TPMS tool is asking for communication

How can i force ISTA to ask for the ident of the sensor?

I bought a device of EL-50448 andt with this tool I can to wake up the sensors.
A cheap simple tool.

IN ISTA you can check the serial numbers of the sensors, if its correct or not!
Of course, you can also record the new sensors if you have this device, which you can use to wake them up.

Update:

The sensor from aliexpress was defective or at least not recognized by my motorcycle

I bought a used one from a part dealer and it worked fine from start!

Conclusion : don't buy your TPMS on ali...

And the EL-50448 tool also works fine for awakening it !
