Hi, just connect to the car and read out HWEL of the headunit, then compare it here to see if it has wlan connection. Dont need to code anything or remove to check it.

Read module and it has the 5D1A, no WLAN, but I can activate the wifi, what is the procedure

The procedure is to replace headunit with another that has WLAN port.

What are the disadvantages of the patch?
In my opinion it seems better than provision hacks?
