NTG3 firmware downgrade - szilagyilajos - 11-08-2023
Hi mates,
I would like to downgrade my EU NTG3 firmware to enable VIM.
Because in the latest sw MB is closed the option enable VIM.
So I look sw issued from before 2007/06.
Anyone know which partnumbered telematic update disc is good for me?
Currently the latest sw in the headunit.

Not aware of any method to accomplish this. The VIM function is illegal in all or nearly all countries, therefore was removed at the hardware level. The old 2006 production NTG 3.0 can have the VIM coding set and be upgraded to the current telematics release and retain VIM functionality. This leads me to believe that the memory addresses that are flashed do not alter the VIM lockout code.
