ABS HW: 3Q0907379G H42 - flash - solved - spooky75 - 16-08-2023

I would like to flash ABS module to latest version, if I understand correctly FL_3Q0907379AB_0723.frf is safe to go since it's same HW: 3Q0907379G H42, is that latest version or exist newer compatible with H42?

Does dataset needs to be updated after SW upgrade ?

There is no dataset required for ABS modules (as well as ECU, TCM, etc.) - only coding.

FL_3Q0907379AE_0725 is the latest for this HW.
However, FL_3Q0907379AB_0723 is 100% the safest option to go.

Yes, I saw FL_3Q0907379AE_0725 as well, but can't find nowhere picture of this module (maybe is just SW update).
I will try with AB_0723.

RE: ABS HW: 3Q0907379G H42 - flash - spooky75 - 16-08-2023

I have successfully flashed ABS module from 3Q0907379N_0710 to 3Q0907379AB_0723 and later to 3Q0907379AE_0725.

After flash, ODIS is reset coding to zeros, so I need to restore coding and perform some basic settings on modules 03:ABS and 44: Steering Assist to be able to clear all errors after flashing.

Module 03
1. Restore coding
2. Basic setting: IDE05146-ENG114972-Basic setting of ESP sensor unit,
3. Basic setting: IDE03650-ENG114972-Basic setting for brake pressure sensor
4. Basic setting: IDE05334-ENG114972-Reset tire pressure monitoring display warnings
5. Set TPMS via radio (Car -> Settings -> Tyres - SET!)
6. Basic setting: IDE05335-ENG114972-Electro-mechanical parking brake function test

Module 44
7. Basic setting: MAS00815-Steering angle sensor
8. Basic setting: IDE05744-Steering angle sensor: initialization

Update 2:
Noticed later at even some adaptation channels on module 03 lost values from before flash and back to defaults.
Prior flashing this module is mandatory to backup adaptation and coding for ABS module.

Update: 3
Later I found info on drive2.ru at this module can be flashed to FL_3Q0907379AE_0725.frf
I have flashed ABS module one more time from 3Q0907379AB_0723 to 3Q0907379AE_0725
Procedure is same as above (coding was lost/zeroed and adaptions was reset to defaults).
