F31 06/17 backup camera retrofit, not showing up in ESys - Freddy1 - 17-08-2023
I´m having trouble retrofitting a backup camera on a F31 LCI from 06/2017, BMW ETK said it needs a TRSVC (retrofit kit 6621 2361833)
It was wired just like the EBA said. Ground, FBAS, K-CAN1 was empty, so I pinned that in there. The fuse 154 in the back was already used, so I tapped it to the cable.
But it is not showing up in esys and I´m kinda stuck here, I double checked the wiring over and over again.
What could be wrong, does the FEM not support K-CAN1? TAL calculation didn´t show a FEM swap with 3AG.

You need icam not trsvc

As already said, the official retrofit kit from bmw contains a TRSVC.
Are you sure about FEM? ESys is not showing to change it.

Why is evo icam? Signal comes in analog. Headunit doesnt give a damn about what module sends that analog signal. Even if its your old VCR player… Evo says nothing about what camera system is installed..

You need trsvc for 5DL but icam for reverse camera

I also retrofitted an f31 LCI once. Then the TRVC module was also not found by ista. I don't think there is any K-CAN activity in the fem.
